A Team Staffing, Southern California's locally-based staffing firm specializing in the title, escrow, mortgage and real estate industries, has an immediate opportunity for an Accounting Payable Specialist for a WOODLAND HILLS real estate construction company.

The Accounting Payable Specialist will provide support to the Staff Accountant and be responsible for a variety of routine and non-routine including contract maintenance, invoice approval and payable functions related to the new home building developments projects and the different phases of construction.
Specific duties will include:
Review of vendor contracts and maintaining and updating the systems
Tracking and maintaining construction records and documents
Coding invoices, reviewing and obtaining approvals for payment
Data entry and prepare invoices for vendor payments in the system
Assisting accounting to resolve discrepancies or customer service questions
Preparing of monthly reporting for the Controller
Requirements
2-5 years of construction related accounting experience in a busy, high volume accounting department required
Strong computer skills: Excel proficiency:Vlookup, Pivot Tables, Formulas, Formatting
Knowledge of accounting software, or related programs desired
Real estate or related industry accounting experience preferred
HS Diploma required. AA or BA in Accounting preferred
Excellent spoken and written communication skills
Good attention to detail and accuracy and efficiency when performing data entry tasks
